Content Difficulty
The five-point rate of AP Physics 2 & Physics B is generally around 11%. This shows that it is a relatively more difficult subject. In terms of the difficulty of learning content, the requirements for mathematics are not high, as long as you know algebra and basic function operations will be enough. The content of each chapter will not be as in-depth as Physics C, but it is also not as simple as SAT2 Physics.
Content Coverage
Compared to AP Physics C, AP Physics 2 has a wider range of content. Physics 2 mainly includes fluids, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, quantum physics and atomic physics, etc. There are many learning points, but it more important to understanding and not purely memorising. Each content has strong internal relevance to one another.
Should You Take AP Physics 2 & Physics B?
Other than students who are majoring in for physics and engineering, all science students are recommended to study AP Physics 2, because it is compulsory for these majors.
Engineering students are also recommended to study AP Physics 2. Although the major usually requires to study the more difficult physics C, the contents learnt in Physics 1 (except force and electromagnetic) are also very helpful for mastering engineering expertise.

Test Prep Strategy
AP Physics 2 is more in-depth as compared to AP Physics 1, hence requiring some physics foundation and knowledge. The difficulty lies in the thermal and electromagnetic, these topics are harder to understand.
Generally speaking, the big questions are divided into several parts that are related to each other, If the first part is solved, the later will become easier. There are also some questions that are independent to each other. Even if you are stuck with the question, it will not affect the subsequent questions. When facing difficulty solving this kind of questions, just skip first and solve the other questions first.
Although physics is a science subject, there are still a lot of contents to memorise, therefore it is important to memorise more content in fragmentary time. Furthermore, calculators are allowed in AP Physics 2 exams, being able to use calculators proficiently will also help you to solve some complex problems.
