Official 2019 December US SAT Test | SAT QAS in PDF with Answers

The team has finally managed to put together the December 2019 USA Question and Answer Service (QAS) for SAT, including both the North American and the International/Asia-Pacific versions. The answer keys for both version are also corrected and included. Use the link below to download the tests.

Below is the curve analysis for SAT December 2019 QAS USA:

  • General comment: normally the curve for the USA version is more lenient that than of the International version. However, December 2019 one seems to be an exception. The math section is more forgiving but grammar and reading sections more demanding compared to the International version. 
  • Reading - 10 points for 1 mistakes. 30 points for 2 mistakes. You can expect 300+ within 15 mistakes. The curve is normal. 
  • Grammar - 10 points for 1 mistake, but 30 points for 2 mistakes. You can expect 350+ within 5 mistakes. The curve is relatively forgiving too. 
  • Math - 20 points for 1 mistake. There's a larger penalty for math mistakes.

Passage 1: Questions 1-10 - Literature -  December 2019 US SAT Test QAS

This passage is adopted from Cristina Garcia,Dreaming in Cuban.@1992 by Cristina Garcia.At her mother's request,Pilar,an art student and punk rock fan,has painted a picture of the Statue of Liberty for the opening of her mother's bakery.

Summary:The article said that a daughter, at the request of her mother, painted a statue of Liberty in the United States to celebrate the opening of her mother's baking shop.

Passage 2: Questions 11-21 - History -  December 2019 US SAT Test QAS

Passage1 is adapted from Albert Einstein,"Albert Einstein Warns of Dangers in Nuclear Arms Race"@1950 by NBCUniversal Media,LLC.Passage 2 is adapted from Ronald Reagan,"Address to the Nation on Defense and National Security."originally delivered in 1983.The USA and the USSR (the Soviet Union) engaged in a nuclear arms race from the late 1940s through the 1980s.

Summary:

Passage1:Physicist Einstein read the statement, analyzed the serious global risks of the nuclear arms race, and called for "national coexistence."

Passage2:In his national television speech on national security, Ronald Reagan proposed the development of technologies that can intercept enemy nuclear missiles. This plan is called the "Strategic Defense Plan" (S.D.I.), and is called "Star Wars" by its critics.
