May 2026 is the deepest month in our 2026 archive so far: two complete full tests — re-typeset compilations labeled Set 1 (5A) and Set 2 (5B) — plus five English-only captures (5C through 5G) taken page by page from a Bluebook-style practice app. At the center of it all sits Form 5A, a 60-page full test covering all four modules: Reading & Writing Modules 1 and 2, then Math Modules 1 and 2.
5A is the month's anchor document: its Math Module 2 standard-deviation item reappears in 5B with new numbers, and its first two Reading & Writing questions show up verbatim in the English-only file 5D. To understand how the May 2026 pool was built, start here.

| Test date | May 2026 digital administration (Set 1 of 2 full tests) |
| Format | 60-page image-only PDF: a re-typeset compilation in clean digital text (SAT-style serif font, boxed math tables), 2–4 questions per page — not Bluebook screenshots |
| Cover page | Chinese title page: "机考 SAT 真题 / 2026年5月第1套题目文本" ("Digital SAT real questions — May 2026 Set 1, question text") |
| Section 1 | Reading & Writing — Module 1 (observed Q1–Q19 and beyond) and Module 2 (numbering restarts; no Hard/Easy route label visible) |
| Section 2 | Math — Module 1 (observed Q15–Q18) and Module 2 (numbering restarts again) |
| Answer keys | None. No answer is marked, selected, or highlighted anywhere in the file — it is a clean question-only text |
One honesty note before the samples: 5A is an image-only PDF with no text layer, so we can't run our usual parsing pipeline on it. That's why this post quotes page numbers and observed question ranges, not question counts or overlap percentages — anything more precise would be invented, and we don't do that. Everything below comes from our verified visual profile of the file.
Q1 quotes Northrop Frye's Anatomy of Criticism (1957) and asks what the word "projection" most nearly means in context — choices: Prediction / Estimation / Elimination / Presentation. Q2 describes a construction foreperson converting blueprints "into practical building instructions" and asks you to label that act: translation / verification / observation / documentation.
Both are classic words-in-context openers: short passage, one underlined word, four single-word choices. No answers are marked in the file, so we present these as question types, not solved items. Keep these two in mind — they become important in the cross-form section below.

A command-of-evidence item built on a 2025 study by Simon Townsend and colleagues reporting "rudimentary compositionality" in bonobo communication: "Which finding, if true, would best support the researchers' claim?"
Mid-to-hard Module 2 fare: a long passage, a specific claim, four findings where only one actually strengthens it — the exact skill that separates 600-level from 700-level Reading & Writing scores.
Q15: "5|x − 5| = 10 — what is the sum of the solutions?" Q18 gives circle M: (x − 5)² + (y − 6)² = 4, tells you circle P shares the same center with twice the radius, and asks for P's equation.
The Q15 item collapses if you see the symmetry (solutions at 3 and 7 — verifiable by re-solving, but nothing is marked in the PDF). The circle item is the standard center-radius template: same center (5, 6), radius doubled, right-hand side 16. Between them sits a quadratic/linear system — and here we owe you a disclosure: Q17's second equation prints as "x + 6 = 10," almost certainly a transcription typo from the re-typesetting (the intended equation was likely something like x + y = 10). We flag it rather than silently fix it: when a stem in a re-typeset compilation looks off, sanity-check it before burning time.

Two frequency tables summarize clutch sizes across wood-duck nest boxes — one table covering 35 nests — and the question asks you to compare the standard deviations of the two data sets.
No calculation marathon required: the SAT's standard-deviation comparisons are almost always about spread, not computation. Read how the frequencies cluster around the mean in each table and compare. This exact item matters beyond 5A — see the next section.

Because 5A is image-only, we can't compute overlap percentages the way we did for the text-indexed December 2025 forms. What we can give you are profile-verified, question-level links:

The module opens with two words-in-context items (Frye; blueprints) — the College Board's standard 1–2 punch — and runs at least through Q19 in our sampled pages. Along the way the module works in data tables, the quantitative cousin of reading comp: short passages paired with a table where the answer must respect the numbers exactly. Difficulty builds in the usual ramp: quick vocab and grammar up front, denser evidence and inference items deeper in.
The sampled Module 2 item (bonobo compositionality, Q14) is a long-passage command-of-evidence inference — the type that rewards students who diagram the claim before reading the choices. No Hard/Easy route label appears anywhere in the file, so we can't tell you which adaptive branch this module represents; what we can say is that the sampled content reads as mid-to-hard.
Absolute-value equations, a linear student-produced-response item, a quadratic/linear system, and a center-radius circle equation — that's an advanced-algebra-heavy spread, with no radicals or trigonometry appearing in the sampled pages. The presence of grid-ins (SPR items) means you'll need to produce answers, not just recognize them.
The module's sampled tail item is the wood-duck standard-deviation comparison — data analysis from frequency tables, the exact skill family the College Board loves to park late in Module 2. Note what the two modules together tell you: May 2026's math leans on equation manipulation plus statistical reasoning, not geometry exotica.
