Curve analysis for SAT October 2020 US School Day exam:

  • Reading - The overall difficulty for reading section is moderate, other than the social science passage, the rest of the passages are not very difficult, though there are some rare questions in some passages. Expect to deduct 20 points for the first 2 mistakes. 
  • Reading/Grammar - The difficulty level for reading and grammar section is moderate, except for a few difficult questions. There are also some questions that were tested before but does not appear often. 
  •  Math - Math is slightly more difficult. Students are required to read the diagrams accurately and understand the questions fully.

Passage 1: Questions 1-10 - Literature - October 2020 School Day SAT Test QAS

This passage is adapted from Kazuo lshiguro, An Artist of the Floating World. ©1986 by Kazuo lshiguro. The narrator is a retired Japanese painter named Masuji Ono, who is looking back on his youth in the early twentieth century.

Passage 2: Questions 11-20 - Social Science - October 2020 School Day SAT Test QAS

This passage is adapted from Carmen Nobel, "What Charities Can Do about Our Aversion to Overhead Costs." ©2015 by Forbes Media LLC. "Overhead" refers to certain expenditures required to run a business.

Angiosperms are flowering plants whose seeds are encased in ovaries; gymnosperms lack flowers and have exposed seeds.
